Usage of bleach
Bleach is designed to whiten or remove the natural colour of fibers, yarns, paper, and textile fabrics. In textile finishing, bleaching is used to remove discoloration, produce white cloth, and to prepare fabrics. (“Bleach”, 2014)
Another use of bleach, or more specifically, sodium hypochlorite, is also a disinfector. Sodium hypochlorite is very effective against virus, bacteria, and fungi. (Lenntech, 2014) How it is used: According to Schoenberg (2013), the automatic bleach dispenser in your washer must be used. Pour the bleach until “max” point. Allow the bleach to wash with the detergent and water. |
